DESCRIPTION:

As a SeniorEstimatorat WDF Inc. reporting to the Chief Estimator you will have the opportunity to:

• Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders figures

• Provide and/or coordinate full estimating services on large complex work and all types of contracts

• Reviewproposalspecificationsdrawingsattendpre-bidmeetings etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.

• Providecompleteconceptual(orbidwork)andfinalestimating input on complex projects

• Providetechnicalsupporttopersonnelpreparingdiscipline estimates for assigned bids

• Insureallworkingdocumentsanddataaremaintainedtoback-up estimate figures

• Assistcontractingdepartmentduringpreparationofinquiriesand final evaluation of submitted bids as required

• Track awarded contracts as required - may include estimating/pricingextraworkitemschangeorderscredit;procuring materials etc.

• Performadditional assignments per supervisorsdirection

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering Construction Management or similar from an accredited institution

• 5 years of relevant estimating and project management experience

• 10 or more years experience estimating for building projects

• Previous estimating experience on projects over $100M in value

• Hands on experience in public projects including buildings infrastructure and/or commercial construction projects

• Experience working with HCSS Heavy Bid Blue Beam MS Excel SmartBid

• Thorough knowledge of company procedures estimating techniques all engineering disciplines cost control systems and accounts required

• Good communication skills to effectively solicit and work with individual project owners representatives material suppliers and subcontractors in pre-bid estimate preparations and post-bid negotiations

• Capable of effectively working within a cohesive Heavy Civil estimating staff to facilitate comprehensive cost proposals and conclude efforts during joint venture team reviews on major projects when applicable

• Excellent written and verbal skills
