Senior Engineer, New Product Introduction (Injection Molding)

The Role:

Our growing site in Colorado Springs is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our NPI team specialized in molding/injection molding processes.

The new hire in this role will play a crucial part in successfully transitioning new tight-tolerance products from design to high-volume manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background inScientific InjectionMolding with a focus on producing components for the semiconductor industry.They will serve as a technical lead andsubjectmatterexpert for scientific injection moldingsupportingtheAPSdivision -MicroenvironmentsProducts includecleanroom product platforms. This role bridgesNPD and Manufacturing execution ensuring Molding processes are scientifically defined transferable and capable of meeting stringent SemiconductorqualityincludeVOCand cleanliness requirements.

The position partners closely withNPD / R&D Materials Engineering Tool Design andOperationsto enable robust launches and stablehighvolumeproduction usingdatadrivenScientific Injection Molding methodologies.

The APS division focuses on providing the purity necessary to create advanced materials by integrated device makers (IDMs) original equipment makers (OEMs) and wafer growers in the semiconductor industry.Our customers rely on us for high quality consistent reliable and clean products to produce high-tech devices.

• DevelopRobustScientific Injection Moldingprocess for thecutting-edgeMicroenvironmentsproducts fromengineeringdevelopment to high volume manufacturingat the Colorado Springs facilities.

• Be a technical lead for theInjectionMolding process and NPI efforts forMicroenvironmentsproducts at COS.

• Definemolding strategies using scientific molding principlesof 6stepsincludingmelt behavior cavity pressure/ RJGsystemresin characterizationetc.

• DriveMold/ Moldingtrials andproduction ramp up

• Establishcritical process parameters and quality attributes to ensure dimensionalvisualand functional robustnessensuringthe smoothtransition forHVMmeeting thetargetedKPIsincludequalitycostandefficiency.

• Drive Process CapabilityimprovementsCp/CpK first pass yields andscrap reductions.

• Collaborate withNPD /R&D andPM/ BUto definetarget performance requirements (success criteria) for new products.

• Create andmaintaincomprehensive manufacturing documentation including work instructions SOPs and process records; ensure systems and controls are in place for full-scale production.

• Train operators and technicians on new processes and equipment ensuring readiness for scale-up.

• Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (including DMAIC) to improve yield reduce variation and increase capacity using a strong statistical foundation.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to new products toolingandprocessbycreative problem-solving techniques.

• Participate in design and mold reviews ensuring compliance with Entegris global and site-specific standards.

• Conduct manufacturing readiness assessments toidentifygaps and track progress against IRD/Mfg. metrics.

WHAT WE SEEK

• Bachelors degree in engineeringin Plastics EngineeringPolymerScience MechanicalEngineeringorrelated discipline.

• 8 years ofInjection MoldingexperienceinManufacturing within the Semiconductor industryand/or experience in plastic part processing and assembly in a tech or medical field.

• Certifications:MM2/ MM3 RJGBlackBelt or Green Belt in Six Sigma/Lean Sigmais highly preferred.

• Hands-onexpertiseinScientificinjection moldingmethodologyand injection molding design fundamentals

• Experience with Statistical tools(MinitabJMP)SPC DOE FMEA and Control plans as well as Moldflow or equivalent simulation tools highly preferred

• Basic knowledgeofassembly processes for clean tight-tolerance products and electro-mechanicalsystems. (addedadvantage)

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical information to diverse audiences.

• Familiaritywith metrology andvarious measurement techniques.

• Strong desireto learnand adoptnew technology newproducts and beinga subject matter expertin Injection Molding.

• Willingness to travel internationally to other Entegris facilities vendors suppliers and customers as needed.

• A proactive self-motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to be a strong contributor to a cross-functional development team.

• Ability to adapt to changing responsibilities quickly based on business needs
