Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Engineer I - Component to support and drive the development qualification and management of critical suppliers and components used in advanced manufacturing and semiconductor-related assemblies. This role is ideal for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong Materials Science background who thrives at engineering supplier quality and manufacturing processes. You will play a key role in ensuring reliability supplier performance and material/process integrity across the supply base.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong previous experience as a technical lead for suppliers driving performance in quality delivery and root cause and corrective action planning.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships with a focus on continuous improvement improving lead times and risk mitigation.
- Lead supplier qualification audits and capability assessments for new and existing vendors.
- Ensure that all supplied products meet mechanical thermal and material performance requirements.
- Review and approve drawings specifications and material/process requirements.
- Lead or support root cause investigations related to supplier quality issues.
- Develop and maintain specifications qualification reports and supplier documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry and customer standards (e.g. MIL IPC).
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Materials Science Materials Engineering or related field
- 5 7 years of experience in engineering supplier quality and manufacturing
- Strong background in materials science and processmaterial interactions
Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:
- Masters degree or MBA 3-5 years experience
- Experience in semiconductor aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with hermetic packaging and microelectronics assembly
- Knowledge of electroless and electrolytic plating of electronic packaging
- Knowledge of common semiconductor industry standards
- Experience conducting supplier audits
- Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks AutoCAD)

The annual base salary range for this position which could be performed in the US is $70304-$205000.**Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location skills and experience.
