What You Will Do:

• Lead the design analysis validationand production supportof carbon sealsand rolling elementbearings for commercialand military gasturbine engine programs ensuring technical excellencethroughout the productlifecycle.
• Drive cross-functionalengineering initiativesby collaborating withsuppliers customers andinternal engineering disciplinesto develop innovativesealing solutions resolvetechnical challenges andsupport new productdevelopment and legacyengine programs.
• Investigate and resolvecomplex technical issuesby conducting failuremode and rootcause analyses supportingrig testing andfield investigations andimplementing correctiveactions that improveproduct reliability andperformance.
• Advance engineering capabilityand organizational excellenceby developing analyticalmethods and engineeringtools improving standardwork and processes and mentoring engineersto strengthen technicalexpertise and fostera culture ofcontinuous improvement.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• A Bachelors degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience includes aerospace design analysis and/or gas turbine experience with demonstrated organizational and leadership skills in project-related task/schedule management and resource/outsourcing management.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with NX or other CAD software preferred. Additional usage of tools including MATLAB Python or ANSYS.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance or an active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance.

Department/Segment Overview:

Mechanical Systems Externals & Nacelles (MSEN): The Mechanical Systems Externals and Nacelles Engineering organization is responsible for the design development and in-service support of power transmission systems bearing compartment and rotor support design and analysis oil and thermal management systems engine externals packaging and architecture as well as nacelles for commercial and military engine models. Technical disciplines include Project Engineering Mechanical Design Structural Analysis Product Definition System Modeling Mechanical Design analysis for bearings gears and seals and fluid-thermal modeling of associated components and systems.

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

Candidates will learn more about therole type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
