Senior Engineer, Applications & Design Engineer

The Role

Entegris is currently seeking anApplications & Design Engineerto join ourSpecialty Coatings Groupteam based in ourBedford MAfacility.

In this role you will support new product developmentofALD PVD and PECVDcoatings andmanufacturing scale-up activities through a combination of applications engineering and mechanical design engineering. You will work closely with R&D Manufacturing and Quality teams to develop coating applicationsoptimizemanufacturing processes and design tooling and fixturing solutions that improve product performance manufacturability and operational efficiency.

WhatYoullDo

• Support the development qualification and implementation of new coating applications process capabilities and manufacturing solutions.

• Assistwith process development optimization troubleshooting and transfer of new products and technologies into manufacturing.

• Design develop fabricate and qualify fixtures tooling assemblies and supporting hardware for product development and manufacturing applications using SolidWorks.

• Create andmaintainengineering drawings specifications BOMs work instructions and engineering change documentation.

• Collaborate with R&D Manufacturing Operations Safetyteams to improve manufacturability process capability product quality and manufacturing readiness.

• Support prototyping testing and validation activities for new products processes and design concepts.

• Participate in root-cause investigations and continuous improvement activities to address technical and manufacturing challenges.

• Support equipment tooling and process modificationsto meet product development and manufacturingobjectives.

• Work with suppliers and vendors to develop components fixtures and technical solutions that support engineering and manufacturing activities.

• Ensure compliance with company systems and processes including SAP ETQ EPDM Accolade and applicable quality requirements.

WhatWeSeek

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Materials Engineering Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in applications engineering design engineering manufacturing engineering process engineering or new product development.

• Experience with vacuum technology.

• Proficiencywith SolidWorks and mechanical design principles.

• Experience supporting product development and manufacturing environments.

• Strong technical problem-solving communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities.

• Limited travel(<10%).

• Primarily on-site position with occasional work-from-home flexibility.

Compensation: $100000- 135000 per year with actual pay dependent on candidates overall skills for the role
