A premier global law firm is seeking a Senior Emerging Technologies & Data Privacy Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising innovative companies on cutting-edge privacy cybersecurity artificial intelligence and emerging technology matters.

Ideal Background

5 years of experience in data privacy cybersecurity technology transactions or regulatory counseling gained at a sophisticated law firm

Experience advising clients regarding U.S. and international privacy laws including consumer privacy data governance and cybersecurity compliance

Experience counseling clients on artificial intelligence (AI) emerging technologies digital products and technology commercialization

Experience drafting and negotiating data processing agreements technology agreements software licensing agreements SaaS agreements privacy policies and related commercial contracts

Experience advising clients regarding data breaches incident response cybersecurity preparedness and regulatory investigations is preferred

Experience counseling clients on FTC state privacy laws GDPR CCPA/CPRA and other evolving privacy regulations is a plus

Strong drafting analytical problem-solving and client counseling skills

Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters while maintaining significant client interaction

Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
