Senior Electrical Sustainment Engineer

The Tactical Recon & Strike team at Anduril develops aerial small drones (Group 1-3) and all equipment to test deploy and operate. The team is responsible for taking products like Ghost Anvil Bolt and Altius from paper sketches to operational systems. We work in close coordination with specialist teams to solve some of the hardest problems facing our customers. We are looking for aSenior Electrical Sustaining Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Atlanta this role you will be responsible for managing product sustainment in a production process performing and owning design updates of embedded electronics and troubleshoot issues. You will work closely with other electrical mechanical software firmware and test engineers to perform product updates. This will require you to use electronic design automation tools and showcase your experience with testing. If you are someone who has exceptional organization and communication skills as well as an interest in working on products used in tough environments (automotive aerospace defense etc.) then this role is for you.

• Help manage product sustainment in a production process with engineering improvements product cost down and sourcing engineering support
• Perform and own design updates of embedded electronics including hardware selection schematic & PCB updates board bring-up validation and system level integration
• Work closely with other electrical mechanical software firmware and test engineers to perform product updates driven by new feature requests and/or component obsolescences
• Troubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries with solid skills using both lab equipment (Oscilloscopes DMM etc.) and software debugging tools
• Support sourcing teams with managing long lead and end-of-life components to ensure continuous production.
• Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new product introductions active deployments and customer operated hardware
• Balance involvement in multiple sustaining projects at various stages to ensure timely and effective results.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or equivalent
• 10 years of experience designing testing troubleshooting and sustaining complex embedded systems and products
• Demonstrated experience with some of the following: 8- and 32-bit Microcontrollers Linux-based SOCs Ethernet common communication busses (SPI I2C) and power regulation
• Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes logic analyzers debuggers current-probes and automation of tests
• Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and oral)
• Proficient with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation design tools
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

• Knowledge of embedded software development including use of timers interrupts hardware peripherals such as SPI controllers and ADCs
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira
• Familiarity with software development processes and tools such as git Github etc
• Experience with developing for a safety-critical environment
• Experience working on products used in tough environments (automotive aerospace defense etc.)

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience education and/or training critical skills and/or business considerations.
