Job Summary

MalaceHR is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Foreman Commercial & Industrial to lead electrical installation and maintenance projects within commercial and industrial facilities. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising field crews coordinating electrical work ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations and delivering projects safely efficiently and on schedule.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with commercial electrical systems high- and low-voltage equipment power distribution and electrical troubleshooting while serving as a technical leader and mentor for field personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead commercial and industrial electrical installation repair and maintenance projects from start to finish.
  • Supervise train and mentor electricians apprentices and field personnel.
  • Install repair and maintain electrical systems including wiring motors transformers generators lighting appliances circuits and associated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and diagnose equipment failures using electrical testing instruments.
  • Repair and maintain high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot test repair and maintain emergency generators and power distribution systems.
  • Review construction drawings blueprints specifications and work orders to determine project requirements and installation methods.
  • Coordinate daily work activities and assign tasks to maximize productivity and project efficiency.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable federal state local and NEC electrical codes and regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management.
  • Estimate material requirements and coordinate procurement to support project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation labor tracking and job reporting.
  • Promote and enforce OSHA regulations company safety policies PPE requirements and safe work practices.
  • Coordinate with project managers general contractors subcontractors customers and other trades to ensure successful project completion.
  • Assist with project planning scheduling and quality control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Trade school or technical training in Electrical Technology preferred.
  • 47 years of experience as a commercial or industrial electrician.
  • Previous experience leading crews or serving in a foreman or supervisory role preferred.
  • Journeyman Electrician License or State Electrical License preferred where required by state or local regulations.
  • Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
  • Thorough understanding of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical applications.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) OSHA regulations and applicable state and local electrical codes.
  • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting diagnostics installation and repair.
  • Experience working with motors transformers switchgear generators lighting systems and power distribution equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints electrical schematics and construction drawings.
  • Knowledge of electrical tools equipment and materials commonly used in the trade.
  • Strong leadership mentoring and crew management skills.
  • Excellent organizational planning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate work across multiple trades and project stakeholders.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing company safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively leading a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Experience leading commercial or industrial construction projects.
  • Experience with emergency power systems and backup generators.
  • Familiarity with project management software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Experience with commissioning and startup of electrical systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in commercial construction and industrial environments.
  • Ability to stand walk climb ladders work at heights kneel crouch and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely use electrical testing equipment hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to wear and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) including arc flash protection when required.
