Role Overview

As a Senior Electrical Estimator you will play a key role in developing accurate competitive estimates for diverse commercial construction projects. This is a leadership-focused role where you will coordinate all estimating activities manage bid preparations and provide mentorship to junior team members to ensure the department maintains its high standards of accuracy and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating Leadership: Lead and coordinate all estimating activities including cost development bid preparation and the finalization of comprehensive estimate packages.

  • Scope Accuracy: Review bid requests drawings and technical specifications to ensure scope accuracy and completeness.

  • Data Management: Maintain and update estimating databases and cost libraries; track historical costs vs. current project data to improve forecasting.

  • Collaboration & Presentation: Conduct job site walks identify scope gaps and present findings to project managers and executives.

  • Mentorship: Train and mentor junior estimators supporting process improvements and team-wide standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience (Commercial construction background is required).

  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in electrical construction practices NEC (National Electrical Code) and fire alarm systems.

  • Skills: Ability to interpret complex construction drawings and technical specifications. Strong analytical communication and organizational skills.

  • Tools: Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Teams).

  • Eligibility: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Preferred Background
  • Field experience as a licensed electrician or a degree in Construction Management.

  • Specialized experience in estimating projects for schools hospitals or federal entities.
