Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a company seeking an experienced and licensed Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in Baltimore MD!

This position is responsible for designing developing and coordinating electrical systems for commercial and technically complex construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering design electrical drawings specifications calculations and construction administration.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams designers and project managers to deliver high-quality code-compliant and coordinated electrical design solutions throughout all phases of project development and construction.

This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with strong technical expertise electrical system design experience and the ability to work independently while contributing to successful project execution.

• Develop and manage electrical engineering drawings specifications and calculations from conceptual design through construction documentation.

• Design and evaluate electrical systems in accordance with applicable building codes electrical standards and industry best practices.

• Prepare and review electrical engineering deliverables to ensure accuracy quality and coordination with project requirements.

• Utilize CAD and 3D modeling software to develop and review detailed electrical drawings and models.

• Collaborate with architects engineers designers contractors and other project stakeholders to ensure coordinated electrical designs.

• Lead construction administration activities including reviewing shop drawings responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) and participating in site visits.

• Assist project managers with project scope cost tracking technical coordination and risk evaluation.

• Identify and resolve electrical design challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable codes safety regulations and engineering standards.

• Support technical improvements engineering best practices and professional development initiatives.

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

• 6 years of professional electrical engineering experience required.

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required.

• Strong background in electrical system design for building construction projects.

• Experience preparing electrical drawings specifications engineering calculations and technical documentation.

• Proficiency with CAD and electrical design/modeling software.

• Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes building standards and engineering regulations.

• Experience with construction administration including shop drawing reviews RFIs and site visits.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.

• Strong analytical troubleshooting organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple project responsibilities with limited supervision.

• Experience supporting project scope management cost tracking and technical risk evaluation.

• NCEES record for professional licensure maintenance preferred.

• Experience designing electrical systems for commercial healthcare life sciences higher education or advanced technology facilities.

• Experience with electrical power distribution lighting and related building electrical systems.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Revit MEP or similar electrical design software.

• Experience coordinating electrical designs with mechanical architectural structural and plumbing disciplines.

• Strong understanding of construction processes and electrical system installation requirements.

• Experience supporting project managers and mentoring junior engineering professionals.
