Job Summary:
Under limited supervision coordinates designs and secures computer databases to store track and maintain a large volume of critical business information. Serves as the highest advanced-level subject matter expert providing authoritative guidance for professional staff. May also serve in a lead role. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate monitoring troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and research Root Cause Analysis (RCA) across hybrid multi-cloud and microservices architectures. This is for the INET Program.

1. Monitoring & Observability:
   • Configure maintain and optimize monitoring solutions using Dynatrace.
   • Enable end-to-end visibility across infrastructure systems and applications.
   • Develop dashboards alerts and health checks to ensure system health and reliability.
   • Monitor service performance and availability and set alert thresholds to minimize false positives.
2. Infrastructure Systems Monitoring:
   • Monitor Windows/Linux servers virtual environments and cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP).
   • Support monitoring of databases middleware and network components.
   • Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams to identify trends and capacity needs.
   • Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact production.
3. Application Monitoring:
   • Use Dynatrace to monitor application performance and transaction flows.
   • Support synthetic monitoring and real user monitoring.
   • Work closely with application teams to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage.
   • Assist in troubleshooting performance issues at both the application and system level.
4. Incident Support:
   • Participate in incident response efforts related to performance and availability.
   • Provide monitoring insights during troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
   • Identify and close monitoring gaps.
5. Continuous Improvement:
   • Enhance monitoring standards and documentation.
   • Recommend improvements to monitoring configurations and alert strategies.
   • Support integration of monitoring tools with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelors degree in information systems computer science or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
  • 5 years in systems engineering infrastructure support or monitoring roles.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace or similar APM tools.
• Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of Windows/Linux servers virtualized environments (VMware) and cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP).
  • Basic networking understanding (DNS TCP/IP load balancing).
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools like PowerShell or Bash (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or container monitoring.
  • Experience with ITIL practices and regulated industries (e.g. healthcare financial services).
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
