PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our Supportive Housing Services Team as the Licensed Senior Director working out of our Los Angeles offices.

ABOUT PATH
Since its foundation in 1984 PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention street outreach employment preparation and placement assistance individualized case management supportive services interim housing and permanent supportive housing.

ABOUT OUR SUPPORTIVE HOUSING SERVICES
Our Supportive Housing Services (SHS) programs provide Intensive Case Management Services (ICMS) in a Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) setting to individuals who have experienced homelessness and have a history of chronic health mental health and/or co-occurring conditions. Services are centralized and provided to clients living on-site to ensure ease of access to the resources necessary for long-term housing stabilization improving their quality of life and community integration.

ABOUT THE LICENSED SENIOR DIRECTOR
As part of the SHS Team the Licensed Senior Director of Homeless Programs provides high-level leadership for all homelessness response initiatives within an assigned county or major department of a statewide organization. This role is responsible for strategic planning systems-level coordination contract and fiscal oversight performance management and cross-sector partnerships that advance Paths mission to end homelessness.

Position Responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Leadership & Systems Management
    • Lead the development and execution of a regional homelessness response strategy aligned with statewide goals evidence-based practices and local needs.
    • Oversee a portfolio of programs such as outreach interim housing permanent supportive housing rapid rehousing prevention coordinated entry behavioral health integration and specialized population initiatives.
  • Program Oversight & Performance Management
    • Direct the implementation monitoring and continuous improvement of all programs within the assigned county/department.
    • Establish performance targets outcome metrics and quality assurance processes; ensure programs meet or exceed contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Fiscal & Contract Management
    • Manage a complex portfolio of public and private funding streams (e.g. HUD state homelessness initiatives county allocations philanthropic grants).
    • Oversee multimillion-dollar budgets ensuring responsible stewardship forecasting and financial accountability.
  • Partnerships & External Relations
    • Serve as the organizations senior representative to county agencies elected officials community-based organizations healthcare systems law enforcement and other
      partners.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships that support coordinated cross-sector responses to homelessness.
  • Team Leadership & Organizational Development
    • Lead mentor and develop a diverse team of directors managers and program staff.
    • Foster a culture of accountability collaboration equity and continuous learning.
    • Support workforce development initiatives staff training and succession planning.
  • Clinical Supervision
    • Oversee the departments clinical support training and supervision to program staff including clinical supervision for Board of Behavioral Services registered ASW AMFT and
      APCC providers accruing hours toward licensure. This position is expected to be available for clinical consultation and regular supervision. Be knowledgeable and have experience providing evidenced based practices effective when serving a vulnerable homeless population including but not limited to Motivational Interviewing Critical Time
      Interventions Harm Reduction Housing First and Crisis and Suicide Assessment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fifteen (15) years of experience in healthcare case management homeless services or working with vulnerable populations.
  • Eight (8) years of supervisory experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current and active licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Science (e.g. LCSW LMFT LPCC).
  • Ten (10) years of experience in healthcare case management homeless services or working with vulnerable populations.
  • Six (6) years of supervisory experience in homeless services or related social services field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in training public speaking communication human resources or other related operational areas where they have demonstrated success in integrating diversity and inclusion.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Regardless of qualifications candidates must:

  • Have employment eligibility verification
  • Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training
  • Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire:
    • Tuberculosis Test
    • Background Screening
    • Drug Test

Driving is an essential function of this position. To meet the employment requirements for this role all candidates must:

  • Have reliable transportation
  • A valid drivers license
  • Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
  • The ability to qualify for PATHs insurance coverage
