Job Summary
Education: Bachelors degree.
Experience: Minimum three to five years of successful principal and major gifts experience.
Preferred Experience: Demonstrate experience in effectively working with all levels of leadership and staff. Demonstrate success in soliciting major gifts (gifts of $10000). Experience securing philanthropic support for ahospital or health system
Preferred Certification/Registration: CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive).
Skills and Knowledge:
- Demonstrable knowledge of the principals and best practices associated with major gift fundraising
- Possesses strong analytical skills
- Strategic approach to problem-solving
- Personable presence demeanor and the desire to work face-to-face with the external community including volunteers and donor prospects
- Outstanding commitment to customer service
- Willingness and ability to learn and utilize Microsoft Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint and Raisers Edge
- Strong attention to detail with an outstanding ability to multi-task
- Initiates and has the ability to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
