Job Summary

We seek aSenior Development Managerto drive engagement and stewardship of corporate and foundation partners and individual donors. The Senior Manager will report to the VP of Development and Finance and work closely with all staff members including the President and Leadership Team members.
Responsibilities:
Partnership Building
- Identifyand research prospective corporate foundation and individual partners and donors
- Develop and drive plans to engage prospective partners
- Prepare meeting briefs for prospective partners and support ELM staff in developing new relationships
- Lead the outreach process for prospective sponsors ofELMs annualEarth Night event
Partner Engagement and Stewardship
- Manage a portfolio of corporate foundation and middle donors ($500-5000 annually)
- Build trust confidence and effective collaboration with key partners through in-person meetingseventsand effective communication
- Create document and track progress on stewardship plans for high priority corporate foundation and individual partners
- Draft and/or edit reports for foundation partners and individuals
- Manage engagement and stewardship ofELMCorporate Councilmembers and Earth Night sponsors
- Develop and implement an engagement and stewardship program formiddle donors loyaldonorsand recurring donors
Donor Communications
- Draft fundraising materials including email updates donor engagement materials proposals reports acknowledgement lettersand appeals
- Draftor advise on talking points for eventsandmeetings
Additional Duties
- Develop robust understanding of program and policy goals to articulateorganizationalvalue to current and prospective partners
- Ensuretimelysubmission of funder proposals and reports
- Assistin preparation and tracking of proposal budgets and financial reports
- Advise andassistin planning and execution of events
- Advise and support in setting Development and Corporate Engagement goalsobjectives and processes
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Development experience
- Experience in proposal and report writing and donor engagement and stewardship
- Understanding of Development strategies systems and processes
- Experience with budget and financial report preparation
- Superior written and oral communications skills
- Strong project management and critical thinking skills
- Collaborative mindset anddemonstratedability to work effectively in teams and independently
- Passion for ELMs Purpose Mission Vision and Values
- Commitment to centering racial justice and equity in ELMs work and ensuring an inclusive organizational culture
Preferred
- Experience in environmental climate and/or clean energy organizations
- Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP)
- Experience with 501(c)4 or political and candidate fundraising
Compensation & Benefits:
$ depending on experience. ELM provides6 weekspaid time off per year in addition to holidays and the days between Christmas and New Years health and dental insurance a Health Savings Account and a403(b) retirement plan with an organizational match.
This full-time role requires occasional morning and evening commitments outside of the standard 9-5 office hours. The position is based in Boston MA and will require periodic travel within Massachusetts. ELM supports a hybrid work environment and expects employees to work from the downtown Bostonoffice atleast 2-3 days per week.
