In this role you will create 3D models assemblies technical drawings and documentation while partnering with R&D engineers to turn concepts and design inputs into production-ready CAD solutions.
This role is based in Memphis TN with a hybrid workstyle.
What You Will Do
Design and maintain 3D CAD models assemblies and technical drawings for orthopedic instruments and implants using established engineering and drafting standards.
Develop components subsystems tooling fixtures and related documentation to support concept development prototyping testing and production release.
Create route and release engineering documentation including engineering change requests and design revisions while meeting quality and regulatory requirements.
Review technical drawings bills of materials and product documentation to ensure accuracy completeness and compliance with established standards.
Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles to support manufacturability inspection and product quality.
Lead CAD-related activities for cross-functional product development teams during ideation design reviews testing and prototype evaluations.
Analyze design inputs and technical requirements to develop effective CAD solutions and support design decision-making.
Provide training guidance and technical support on product lifecycle management (PLM) CAD tools and documentation processes.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
High school diploma and 6 years of relevant design experience; OR associate degree and 4 years of relevant design experience; OR bachelors degree.
2 years of experience using three-dimensional Computer-Aided Design software.
Experience with Creo 3D CAD software.
Experience creating and maintaining technical drawings and engineering documentation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Windchill/OnePLM or another product lifecycle management system; transferable PLM or lifecycle management experience will be considered.
Experience applying engineering drafting standards or GD&T principles.
Experience supporting medical device orthopedic regulated product aerospace automotive industrial manufacturing or consumer product development environments.
$72500 - $120900 USD Annual
