Position Overview

Client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst with strong expertise in SAS programming and SQL to analyze complex datasets automate reporting develop analytical solutions and provide actionable business insights. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and business communication skills.

Required Skills

5 years of SAS programming (Base SAS SAS/STAT SAS Macro PROC SQL)
5 years of advanced SQL (complex joins window functions query optimization)
Experience with SAS Data Integration and query tools
Data visualization using Power BI Tableau or similar
Experience building dashboards and KPI reporting
Strong statistical analysis and data validation skills
Linux shell scripting and batch processing experience
SQL Server Oracle or similar relational databases
API development experience
Advanced Excel skills
Bachelors degree in Statistics Mathematics Computer Science or related field

Preferred Skills

Masters degree
Machine Learning or statistical modeling
Healthcare or Financial Services industry experience
SAS or SQL certifications
Experience with SAS Procurement Integrity

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain SAS programs and automated reports
Write complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis
Build dashboards and reporting solutions
Develop and maintain data interfaces
Troubleshoot batch processing and system issues
Validate and clean data
Document technical processes and data dictionaries
Present insights to business stakeholders
Mentor junior analysts
