Senior Credit Consultant

Navistar Financial Corporation (NFC) has an exciting opportunity for aSenior Credit Consultantto support dealerships in the financing of International trucks and bus inventory which is to be sold to end user customers. This is a dynamic role with credit approval authority focused on providing expert credit underwriting of fleet customers.

• Build strong relationships with dealerships as you assess credit requests.
• Perform in-depth financial analysis for both new and existing dealerships.
• Prepare clean professional and accurate credit write-ups.
• Recommend credit decisions and use your authority within our dual-signature policy.
• Communicate credit decisions clearly to dealerships and internal personnel as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies including risk ratings and credit reviews.
• Gather essential due diligence and KYC (Know Your Customer) information.
• Review documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure NFC security is perfected with full documentation and perfected liens.
• Develop and deliver training to enhance the skills of our credit team.
• Educate dealers on Wholesale credit expectations and requirements.
• Collaborate with management on policy updates and process improvements.
• Seek opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of accounting or finance experience
• At least 1 years of lead experience

OR

• Masters degree and at least 3 years of accounting or finance experience
• At least 1 years of lead experience

OR

• At least 8 years of accounting or finance experience
• At least 1 years of lead experience

• Qualified candidates excluding current employees must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen Legal Permanent Resident Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment-related work sponsorship for this position (e.g. H-1B status)

• 3 years of credit underwriting experience on transactions or credit lines exceeding $1 million preferably in transportation sector.
• Strong analytical skills business writing skills and proficiency with applications including Excel Word Powerpoint and PowerBI.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with C-level executives and the Management/Ownership of International dealerships.
• Knowledge of transportation industry.
• Proficiency in financial statement analysis finance documentation and lien perfection.
• Ability to assess credit risk of dealerships with large exposure levels.
• Ability to effectively prioritize workloads which include multiple transactions
