Senior Civil Engineer – Land Development

Location: Los Angeles CA 90017
Salary: $140000 $190000 per year

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer / Senior Project Manager to lead complex land development projects from initial planning through construction support. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer who enjoys managing multidisciplinary teams building strong client relationships and delivering high quality engineering solutions on a variety of commercial residential mixed use and public infrastructure projects.

This role is ideal for a technical leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about mentoring engineers while driving projects to successful completion.

• Manage land development projects from entitlement through construction support while ensuring projects are delivered on time within budget and to the highest quality standards.
• Lead project planning design production quality control scheduling and overall project execution.
• Meet with clients to define project scope prepare proposals and fee estimates conduct site investigations and establish project schedules.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while supporting new business development opportunities.
• Supervise and mentor Project Managers and engineering staff providing technical guidance and leadership.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and oversee engineering design throughout all project phases.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards regulations and permitting requirements.
• Support staff development through coaching training and performance management.
• Monitor project budgets profitability and resource allocation.

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive civil engineering experience including significant project management experience.
• Strong background in land development engineering.
• Proven experience managing projects from entitlements through construction support.
• Excellent leadership communication client management and team-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience preparing project proposals fee estimates scopes of work and schedules.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
