We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer I/II to serve as a central design resource for land development projects. This position will be responsible for developing grading street improvement and underground utility designs while helping ensure the accuracy and quality of project deliverables.
The successful candidate will collaborate with project leaders clients public agencies and junior engineering staff. This opportunity is ideal for a civil engineer with strong technical design capabilities proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D and the ability to contribute both independently and as part of a project team.
- Serve as a central design resource for land development project teams
- Design grading street improvements and underground utility systems
- Prepare accurate and complete civil engineering plans that comply with applicable standards and agency requirements
- Assist project and team leaders with client and public agency coordination
- Participate in project meetings client meetings and conference calls as needed
- Build and maintain productive professional relationships with clients agencies and internal team members
- Review engineering plans and identify opportunities to improve design quality
- Support quality assurance and quality control throughout the design process
- Delegate appropriate tasks and provide technical guidance to junior staff
- Train and mentor junior engineering team members
- Introduce practical ideas and design improvements that support project quality and efficiency
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited four-year institution
- A combination of relevant education and civil engineering design experience totaling at least four years
- Land development design experience
- Experience designing grading street improvements and underground utilities
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Active Engineer-in-Training certification
- Strong technical design communication organization and problem-solving skills
- Ability to review plans and provide guidance to junior engineering staff
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Active Professional Engineer license
- Experience coordinating with clients and public agencies
- Experience training or mentoring junior engineering staff
- Experience with plan review and engineering quality control
