Senior Civil Engineer (12+ yrs)

The San Diego office is seeking a highly skilled self-motivated technically minded Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager with twelve plus years experience to join our team in applying engineering skills to a variety of challenging projects. We are looking for someone with experience that ranges from project entitlements and preliminary design through construction documents and construction administration.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Expected Base Salary: $120000.00 - $160000.00 depending on education experience and licensure.
• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
• Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
• Hybrid work schedule (subject to change).
• 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching with 9% Employee Contribution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform project management duties and oversee structural analysis design and detailing on a variety of projects.
• Collaborate with the architect owner and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings.
• Lead and manage a team of engineers designers and drafters to execute structural designs.
• Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design.
• Interface with the contractor during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications.
• Manage profitability of projects and maintain a working relationship with clients.

Qualifications :

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Experience with structural computer analysis software systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
• Experience with the latest release of Autodesk Revit design tools.
• Ability to build and maintain a strong team of professionals and support staff within a cooperative multidiscipline office performing at a high level of satisfaction to clients.
• Possess strong critical thinking organizational and analytical abilities.
• Excellent leadership supervisory and writing and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Comfortable consulting to architectural practices.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Masters degree in structural engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience with the structural design of buildings or similar structures.
• Licensed California Civil (PE) required.
• Licensed California Structural Engineer (SE) preferred.

Expected Salary Range: $120000.00 - $160000.00 depending on education experience and licensure.
