Senior CADD Technician

RESPEC is seeking an experienced Senior CADD Technician to support our Mining and Energy market sector in Lexington KY.

In this role youll play a key part in supporting mining and infrastructure projects by developing high-quality engineering drawings geospatial data products and technical documentation. Youll work alongside engineers project managers surveyors and GIS professionals to bring projects from concept to completion while helping drive efficiency and best practices across our teams.

What Youll Do

• Develop and maintain detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD GIS and related software platforms
• Collaborate with project engineers and project managers to prepare plans designs permits and technical documentation
• Create plan and profile drawings using survey and field data
• Perform drawing revisions based on markups sketches and verbal direction
• Manage and organize project files within established document management systems and company standards
• Support mining energy and infrastructure projects across multiple RESPEC offices and business units
• Mentor and assist in the development of junior team members in CADD and GIS technologies
• Contribute to field and office-based project activities as needed
• Identify opportunities to enhance workflows improve software utilization and implement innovative solutions that increase efficiency and quality

Qualifications :

Required

• Associate of applied science degree in computer-aided design and drafting
• A minimum of 10 years experience in AutoCAD preferably in the civil/mining environment
• Proficient with AutoCAD 2018 or newer
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically with Excel and Word)
• Strong attention to detail and presentation
• Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects concurrently
• Must possess a valid drivers license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel
