As a member of the Purchasing team the Senior Buyer will be responsible for driving material cost reductions executing strategic sourcing initiatives leading supplier negotiations proactively identifying supply chain risks and supporting tariff mitigation activities including supplier resourcing. The job holder will be responsible for all tactical aspects of supply chain procurement methodologies required to support plant and customer requirements.
- Responsible for purchasing activities related to quoting new business pursuits and supporting new program launches
- Work with global cross functional teams and suppliers to identify and implement cost savings opportunities
- Ensure cost effective procurement and delivery of material and service to support plant and customer requirements
- Liason between PUR and other functions within E-Systems organization (Program Management Sales Engineering and Finance)
- Work with suppliers to quote new components on pursuit business and process ECNs on awarded program to source awarded business
- Develop and present program information to cross functional teams and executive management.
- Bachelors degree in General Business required
- Requires minimum of 3-5 years work experience
- Proven experience with project or account management and demonstrated results including managing multiple deadlines and customers (internal) along with savings
- Detail oriented with the ability to learn concepts quickly to develop understanding
- Must be able to problem solve and manage program independently knowing when to engage management and cross functional organizations.

- Technical understanding of automotive electronics systems
- Advanced or expert user in Excel (pivot tables writing formulas analyzing data output)
- Masters degree (MBA) preferred
- Bachelors degree in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management
