The Senior Billing Specialist is an integral part of Lathams Revenue Operations team. This role will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the billing process and performing complex billing duties while preparing and analyzing complex client billing requests. This role will be located in our Boston Office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Creating editing and finalizing bills in accordance with firm and client requirements and billing attorney directives reviewing proformas handling subsequent corrections and coordinating ebilling
- Preparing and finalizing invoices in line with internal and external regulation and legislation including ValueAdded Tax (VAT) Criminal Finances Act Solicitors Accounts Rules and money laundering regulations as applicable
- Ensuring successful delivery of invoices and coordinating with revenue and ebilling teams for submission and helping resolve rejections and reductions
- Generating and reviewing proformas from 3E for informational and billing purposes
- Utilizing computerized billing and payable software modules to complete the billing process and client refunds and researching and providing information to customers
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive confidential privileged financial and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

- Exhibit demonstrated strong technology skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
And have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A bachelors degree or equivalent preferably
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a legal accounting finance or equivalent industry preferably
- Experience using financial systems preferably
