Senior Application Specialist

The primary purpose of the Senior Applications Specialist position is to provide coordination and support for internally developed as well as vendor-supplied computer software programs related to the strategic business processes to Perioperative Services systems in an environment which promotes industry best practices and optimal use of University Hospital resources. The Senior Applications Specialist is responsible for implementation training delivering procedural and basic technical support to customers collaborating directly with them on a daily basis primarily through telephone email and help desk tickets. Responsibilities center on coordinating implementation resolving customer issues and questions involving software training and troubleshooting. The incumbent will also work with University Hospital to identify process improvements and efficiencies.

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Business Administration or other related field required. A minimum of five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in related technology field or Business Business Administration. Knowledge of modern office methods practices and procedures and software. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. Experience providing application support in a healthcare related field preferred. Equivalent education experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.
