What youll do
Define build and launch full-stack features (React Node and Python) for one of the worlds most popular cloud-based video editors.
Design test and implement LLM powered pipelines to automate away tedious parts of visual design and video editing.
Prototype and test new technologies and generative models to evaluate quality revise prompts and improve performance.
Test new features monitor releases and mitigate risk.
Investigate and prototype new technologies and build applications on top of ML-powered APIs
Implement new features and improvements to Kapwings Studio and other core products
Partner with product and growth to reach new creators and sell to creative enterprises.
4 - 8 years of experience of production-level full-stack software engineering experience.
Has shipped LLM-powered features to real end users in production (not research not side projects).
Has owned the evaluation stack for a non-deterministic AI system end-to-end (can explain how they knew B was better than A).
Experience building and shipping web applications (not looking for engineers who have worked on primarily mobile or native apps).
Experience with video engineering (FFM PEG processing uploads).
CS or equivalent technical degree from a US-based university.
Strong React and TypeScript proficiency.
Experience with tool-calling context management and agent architectures
Comfortable building prompt-to-interface products (e.g. Figma Make Lovable Amplitude prompt-to-chart Stripe Sigma).
Demonstrable career progression (e.g. promoted from mid to senior/staff within a single company).
Required Skills:
Proficient in Python (bonus for TypeScript and React).Regularly uses AI coding assistants (e.g. Copilot Cursor). Experience building with or deploying LLMs/AI models.
Required Education:
Candidates should hold a CS or equivalent technical undergraduate degree from a U.S. school
