This position is part of the College of Engineering Architecture and Technologys (CEAT) central finance team. The central finance team is composed of the Fiscal Officer the Fiscal Operations Coordinator two Accountant positions and three Senior Accounting Specialist positions. The major role of this position is to be the financial support for the colleges Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs and Associate Dean of Academic Programs and Student Engagement departments which includes the CEAT Learning Labs. This position will process OK Corral purchases travel requests and vouchers EPAFs and reconciliations in accordance with OSU State and college policies and procedures. Reconciliations and monthly financial reports will be created and distributed as requested and required. This position will also be responsible for evaluating expenditures for accuracy and determining the revenue source for payment as well as preparing and distributing monthly financial information to departments. It is important that the incumbent in this position is able to effectively manage their time and maintain organization of their assignments. Back-up approver for travel requests and vouchers for the college. Assists with P-card administration for CEAT. Reconciles on a monthly basis funds for areas within the Deans office and smaller departments within the college. Prepares Foundation vouchers for reimbursement and tracks expenditures from Foundation accounts. Helps with logging and tracking of workflow through information as well as tracking specific annual expenditures. Helps with training depart mental staff.
- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
3 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping.
Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.
Skills Proficiencies and/or Knowledge:
Ability to maintain confidential information. Ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously. Solid problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS suite (Outlook PowerPoint and Excel) and the ability to generate reports using Excel software. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a team environment.
- High School/GED
Five years of experience with Microsoft Office and various accounting software packages.
Two years of experience with OSU accounting functions and tax compliance for businesses in other states.
