Job Summary
Senior Accountant will be responsible for accounting and reporting for Companys properties and management entities including fee revenue cost allocations and carried interest structures.
Responsibilities include:
Close monthly US GAAP and tax-basis accounting for assigned entities on an accurate and timely basis
Prepare journal entries account reconciliations bank reconciliations and supporting schedules
Record and reconcile management fee income
Allocate shared costs across funds.
Track carried interest promote structures and commission plans
Support quarterly and annual financial reporting
Assist with tax compliance and K-1 review
Coordinate with FP&A and leadership.
Assist in the interim quarters and year-end audit or review process which will include providing requisites to Companys external auditors
Review operating results against budget; investigate and analyze significant variances
Support quarterly distributions and investor reporting as needed
Maintain and ensure internal controls are operating effectively
Actively support continuous improvement and technology initiatives to enhance efficiency and ensure strong internal controls
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
25 years of partnership or fund-related accounting experience
Experience supporting private equity or real estate sponsors preferred
Strong understanding of US GAAP and partnership accounting
Yardi Voyager experience a plus
Strong MS computer skills (Excel Word and PowerPoint) required
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Must be a detail-oriented self-starter with good oral and written communication and strong time management skills
Must be a team player willing to support and assist others when called upon.
