Senior Accountant

Responsibilities include but are not limited to all accounting functions including:

• Own the month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries account reconciliations and analyses.
• Prepare and review balance sheet recinciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Prepare financial and compliance reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Support forecasting budgeting variance analysis and cost accounting activities.
• Perform treasury activities including cash reconciliations and forecasting.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and ensure timely recording of accounting transactions.
• Utilize SAP for financial reporting accounting analysis reconciliations and close activities.
• Drive continuous improvement automation and SAP process efficiences.
• Support internal and external audits and internal control compliance.
• Provide analytical support to operations and other departments.
• Drive cost-improvement efforts accross all aspects of the business.
• Any other duties as deemed necessary.
• Lead and uphold safety policies practicies and standards.

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience including financial close and GAAP
• Minimum of 2 years of SAP experience

• Judgment/Decision Making Uses sound financial and business judgment in decision-making

• Manufacturing or industrial accounting experience (steel or heavy industry preferred)
• Experience with SAP ERP financial reporting tools and large-scale ERP environments
• Active CPA or CPA candidate
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
