Job Description
Summary
Join a mission driven healthcare and human services organization where you will play a key role in revenue recognition regulatory reporting financial analysis and reimbursement oversight across complex funding streams. This role is ideal for a detail driven accounting professional who thrives in fast paced healthcare or nonprofit environments and enjoys improving financial accuracy compliance and operational performance.

What Youll Do
  • Manage monthly revenue recognition and reconciliation processes.
  • Analyze Medicaid Medicare grant insurance and contract revenue activity.
  • Prepare journal entries reconciliations and month end close schedules.
  • Reconcile billing systems to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor deferred revenue accruals contractual adjustments and allowances.
  • Prepare regulatory grant and funder reporting submissions.
  • Support audits cost reports compliance reviews and financial reporting.
  • Track receivables denials cash collections and aging trends.
  • Partner with operational and revenue cycle teams to resolve reporting issues.
  • Support process improvements internal controls and accounting workflow optimization.
  • Assist with budgeting forecasting and Board reporting support.

What Youll Need
  • 5 plus years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong experience with revenue recognition reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Experience with Medicaid Medicare grants or third party reimbursement environments.
  • Experience preparing regulatory funder or reimbursement reporting.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field required.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition standards.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems experience required.
  • Experience supporting audits and compliance reviews.
  • Strong analytical organizational and problem solving skills.

What Would Be a Plus
  • CPA certification.
  • Behavioral health nonprofit healthcare or human services industry experience.
  • Experience with EHR or healthcare billing systems.
  • Experience with single audits or cost reports.
