What Youll Do
- Manage full-cycle accounting functions including Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable payroll processing bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare review and analyze financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow reports.
- Track reconcile and manage inventory valuation and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
- Calculate and analyze landed costs including freight customs duties tariffs and related expenses.
- Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to support operational and purchasing decisions.
- Monitor financial performance identify trends and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Assist with budgeting forecasting and strategic financial planning initiatives.
- Manage federal state and local tax compliance including sales tax property tax and business-related filings.
- Coordinate with external CPA firms auditors and tax professionals to support compliance and reporting requirements.
- Establish maintain and improve accounting processes internal controls and financial procedures.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations and other departments to improve efficiencies and support organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards company policies and applicable regulations.
- Support special projects and other accounting and finance initiatives as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP financial reporting and accounting best practices.
- Experience managing full-cycle accounting processes and month-end close activities.
- Experience with inventory accounting cost accounting and COGS analysis.
- Knowledge of sales tax business tax compliance and multi-state tax reporting requirements.
- Experience working with external auditors CPA firms and tax advisors.
- Strong analytical problem-solving organizational and time management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- CPA designation or CPA-track preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems inventory management systems and tax automation platforms is a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing distribution inventory-based or product-driven environments is preferred.
