Job Summary
Senior Account Manager
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Manager to join a dynamic Client Management this pivotal role Act as a trusted advisor to clients providing strategic guidance on benefits planning cost containment and plan optimization. Responsible for managing a portfolio of 10-20 clients ranging from 50 to 5000 lives ensuring exceptional service delivery and fostering long-term client relationships.

- Build and maintain strong client relationships serving as the primary point of contact for benefits strategy and execution.
- Oversee operational tasks such as enrollment eligibility billing coordination claims assistance appeals filing financial analysis and contract review.
- Collaborate with Benefits Consultants to lead renewal strategy discussions and provide tailored recommendations to clients.
- Develop and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs) analyze quotes and present financial analyses to clients.
- Educate clients on compliance topics including ERISA COBRA FMLA 5500s and Health Care Reform ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and update client tasks and compliance timelines to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Analyze claims and utilization trends providing actionable insights and recommendations to clients.
- Act as a liaison between clients and vendors ensuring smooth coordination and resolution of issues.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on industry trends products and best practices.
- Maintain accuracy in client deliverables internal system updates and documentation processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and clients.
- Licensing: Current life accident and health license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in employee benefits with demonstrated ownership of client relationships.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in modeling contribution strategies plan design impact and complex financial analysis for self-funded and alternative-funded programs.
- Software Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and other Office products. Experience with BrokerageBuilder HRIS and benefits administration platforms (e.g. Employee Navigator ADP Paychex Rippling B-Swift PlanSource UKG) is preferred.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with key market and regulatory requirements in CT NY and NJ.
- Soft Skills: Excellent organizational written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask meet deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Industry Knowledge: Expertise in all plan funding mechanisms with a focus on self-funding. PEO knowledge is a plus.
