As a Security Officer Screening Operations in Fort Lauderdale FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy government airport location where you will help support security-related screening operations through x-ray review access point monitoring and professional interaction with travelers and staff. Pay Rate: $18.53 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors employees and contractors by carrying out screening procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Screen persons personal property and/or authorized items entering restricted or controlled areas using approved equipment and established post orders.
• Monitor access points and credential checks reporting suspicious activity policy violations and/or prohibited items to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and actions in required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated screening areas entrances and perimeter locations as assigned with duties and conditions varying by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3 years of combined law enforcement military and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be 21 years of age.
• A state county or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
