Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to students faculty staff visitors and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting details and communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings common areas parking locations and perimeter areas to help to identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity to help to support authorized entry report suspicious behavior and/or address policy-related issues in a professional manner.
• Assist with security-related escorts directions and general assistance across the location while maintaining awareness of surroundings and reporting maintenance lighting and/or hazard concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
