As a Security Officer Patrol Screening Agent in San Jose CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic technology location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This unarmed role blends customer service and communication with a people-first approach. Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees visitors and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas parking areas shipping and receiving points and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor access points verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas such as administrative spaces production support areas and other sensitive locations.
• Support security-related operations at a technology-focused location by reporting maintenance concerns assisting with traffic and/or delivery coordination and following post orders for after-hours activity escorts and incident reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
