As a Security Officer Full Time Site Patrol in Edgewater NJ you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer in a busy retail location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and this unarmed role you will embody our agile reliable and innovative approach while putting people first working as a team and acting with integrity every day.

Pay Rate: $18.04 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors tenants and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location common areas parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances exits and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized activity support access control practices and assist with customer and tenant concerns.
• Assist with closing procedures monitor for after-hours activity and communicate with local site contacts regarding security-related issues hazards and/or maintenance concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
