As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Specialist in Houston TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and respond professionally to site needs. You will provide exceptional customer service clear communication and dependable support while representing Allied Universals agile reliable innovative and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors employees and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents alarms disturbances and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner coordinating with appropriate personnel and public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings grounds parking areas access points and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas verify credentials as required and document visitor activity patrol findings incidents and other security-related observations.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow applicable laws policies and post orders while performing armed duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 years of experience as a military police officer corrections officer or armed security professional or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have 3 years of combined law enforcement corrections and/or military experience or 5 years of armed security experience.
• Possess Level III armed certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
