Security Officer FT Afternoon Shift

As a Security Officer Patrol Operations Specialist in Washington DC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic media and technology location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine patrols remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents and deliver outstanding customer service and this unarmed role you will support daily operations with integrity teamwork and a people-first mindset while contributing to a reliable agile and innovative culture.

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients visitors and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures access protocols and when appropriate emergency response activities at a dynamic media and technology location.
• Respond to incidents alarms and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings parking areas production spaces offices and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site policies and report unusual activity maintenance issues and/or suspicious behavior.
• Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence following post orders completing required reports and assisting with security-related requests in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
