As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in LOS ANGELES CA this role is designed to provide reliable consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $29.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. Its all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility income stability and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students faculty staff visitors and families by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity verify authorized entry and report suspicious activity or policy concerns to appropriate school personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following site procedures and coordinating with school administrators and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings parking areas entrances athletic areas and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain required reports incident documentation and communication logs accurately and promptly in accordance with site and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess three or more years of combined law enforcement military or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess one or more years of armed security-related law enforcement or military experience.
• Possess one or more years of law enforcement experience two or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or three or more years of security-related experience.
• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
