As a Security Officer/ EMT Industrial Facilityin River Rouge MI you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic utilities location where you will monitor entry points verify credentials and support site access procedures while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post offering a varied role that may include routine patrols visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and teamwork rooted in integrity reliability and innovation.

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees contractors visitors and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures visitor processing and when appropriate emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor and help manage pedestrian and/or vehicle entry points by checking credentials authorizations deliveries and/or access requests in accordance with post orders and client-specific protocols.
• Respond to incidents alarms unusual activity and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and report security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around access points operational areas and the perimeter as applicable to the location to help identify and report unauthorized access hazards and/or suspicious activity.
• Document daily activities access events incidents and/or policy exceptions through required logs reports and communication tools while supporting Allied Universal standards and site expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• An EMT certification is required.
• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
