As a Security Officer Licensed Area Patrol in Bronx NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location where you will monitor assigned areas conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related this people-first role you will support residents staff and visitors through strong communication dependable service and teamwork while bringing agility reliability innovation and integrity to each shift.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service at a shelter location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents resident concerns and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner while communicating with staff and visitors in a professional way.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property common areas entry points and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location observe resident and visitor activity and report security-related concerns policy violations and/or maintenance issues to site contacts as needed.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to incidents observations patrols and/or daily activity in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
