Pay Rate: $23.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to students staff and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures access protocols and/or emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner while documenting security-related concerns and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances exits and high-traffic areas verify authorized access when required and report suspicious behavior hazards and/or policy violations.
• Maintain readiness for an armed post by following post orders handling assigned equipment in accordance with policy and supporting security-related response activities as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of years of corrections law enforcement and military background.
• Possess a college degree in criminal justice.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
