As a Security Officer Access Control Operations in York PA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic distribution location you will help manage entry points verify credentials monitor activity and support a welcoming environment for employees visitors and delivery personnel. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.61 / Hour

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):

  • All candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets for communication and task management.
  • Emails should be composed using standard email clients and should adhere to the formatting and etiquette guidelines outlined in this policy.
  • Candidates are encouraged to familiarize themselves with basic computer functions including but not limited to email composition attachment handling and calendar management.

• Customer Service Experience (B219):

  • Candidates should highlight any relevant customer service experience in their email communications.
  • Emails should reflect a customer-centric approach showcasing professionalism empathy and clarity.
  • Responses to inquiries should be timely and informative demonstrating a commitment to excellent customer service.

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies access-control protocols and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points at a distribution location verify credentials and visitor authorization and document entries exits deliveries and other site activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility loading areas parking areas and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with employees drivers vendors and visitors while supporting orderly access and traffic flow throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
