The Security Officer must have the ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with our Care Team Members and the public. Must have knowledge of security practices and protocols. The Medical Center Security Officer position involves shiftwork and some overtime.

Job Description

The Medical Center Security Officer provides security services for Care Team Members patients visitors and our Medical Facilities. Must have a valid South Carolina Drivers License.

Minimum Requirements: High School Degree or Equivalent and 1 year of experience (Security Law Enforcement Fire Service Emergency Medical Service Behavioral Health Counselor Education or Military).

Additional Job Description

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma and one year of relevant experience (Security Law Enforcement Fire Service Emergency Medical Service Behavioral Health Counselor Education or Military).

Must have a valid South Carolina Drivers License.

A Bachelors degree or other relevant certifications may be substituted for the required work experience.

Must obtain and be able to maintain the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety certification (IAHSS) within the first year of employment.
