Security Manager

The Security Manager provides leadership and oversight of hospital security operations to maintain a safe and secure environment for patients visitors staff and facilities. This role leads security personnel ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards and partners with internal and external stakeholders to proactively manage risk incident response and emergency preparedness.

A Day in the Life of the Security Manager

As the Security Manager your day begins with overseeing security operations across the hospital ensuring appropriate staffing coverage and performance. You provide guidance and support to the security supervisor and officers while reinforcing expectations and policies.

Throughout the day you will oversee incident response activities investigations and reporting ensuring followup actions are completed. You collaborate with leadership Risk Management and external partners on safety trends mitigation strategies and compliance requirements.

You play a key role in emergency preparednesscoordinating drills training and response planningand serve as a leader in workplace violence prevention and campus safety initiatives. You also assist with budget planning resource allocation and evaluating security technology and operational enhancements.

As the Security Manager in all interactions you will model professionalism calm decisionmaking and customerfocused service helping create a safe secure and supportive environment for patients visitors and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice Security Management Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive security experience required
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience in healthcare or complex environments strongly preferred
• Valid drivers license required
