As a Security Guard NYS Licensed Patrol Officer in Bronx NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas support a welcoming environment and respond to security-related concerns with this people-first role you will remain visible to help discourage incidents provide strong customer service and communicate with integrity while working as part of a reliable agile and innovative team.

Pay Rate: $22.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or appropriate emergency response activities at the location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and report observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property common areas entrances exits and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing foot traffic checking authorized entry points and/or communicating with staff regarding visitor and resident activity.
• Document incidents policy violations and notable daily activity and/or communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
