Security Guard (Days) School Year 2026-2027

Duties and responsibilities include being responsible for the general security of the building and thestudents and staff within; patrolling assigned routes on a regular basis; checking the validity of individuals credentials;protecting against fire theft vandalism and unlawful entry. Work is performed under general supervision in accordance with standard procedure andprior instructions. Must exercise independent judgment to handle emergency situations. Securityguard will be a first responder in emergency situations therefore the employee must have the aptitude to successfully complete first responder training. This posiiton wears a uniform.

Experience working withyoungadults as a coach or mentor and/or a background in criminal justicesociology or security related field preferred. Employees work one additional week after the close of school and one addition week before opening of school.

Work Year: 10.5monthposition (with theoption to work as atemporary custodian from July 1through one week prior to start of school year)

Working Hours: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
