Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and professional Security Assistant Manager to support security operations at a high-profile construction site. The Security Assistant Manager will assist in supervising onsite security personnel maintaining site safety and security procedures and ensuring excellent service to the client.
This position works closely with the Security Account Manager and client representatives to help maintain a safe and secure environment for construction personnel contractors visitors and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily security operations for the construction site
- Support the Security Account Manager in supervising onsite security personnel
- Help coordinate officer schedules coverage and shift assignments
- Conduct routine patrols and site inspections to ensure compliance with security procedures
- Monitor access control visitor logs gate operations and perimeter security
- Respond to incidents emergencies and client concerns in a professional manner
- Prepare and submit incident reports daily activity logs and operational documentation
- Assist with training and onboarding of new security personnel
- Ensure all officers follow post orders company policies and safety procedures
- Help address performance concerns attendance issues and operational challenges
- Maintain effective communication with construction management and client representatives
- Support investigations involving theft trespassing vandalism or safety violations
- Step into leadership responsibilities during the absence of the Security Account Manager
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 24 years of security experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred
- Experience in construction site industrial or commercial security preferred
- Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced and changing environments
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and report writing
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to pass background screening and drug testing
- Current security license/certification (if required by state law)
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of construction site safety and access control procedures
- Experience with CCTV systems patrol operations and incident reporting
- Strong customer service and team leadership abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to patrol large construction sites on foot or by vehicle
