Project Scope:
Seeking an experienced Security Analyst to support enterprise cybersecurity and data protection initiatives with a strong focus on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Insider Risk Management AI/Copilot data security security monitoring compliance vendor security assessments and incident response.
The consultant will monitor and investigate security alerts protect sensitive organizational data support governance and compliance initiatives conduct vendor security reviews and collaborate with technical and business teams to strengthen the agencys overall cybersecurity posture. This role requires hands-on experience with modern data protection technologies security operations and enterprise risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and administer Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and security controls.
Investigate data loss unauthorized access and sensitive data exposure incidents.
Support Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) initiatives for AI and Microsoft Copilot.
Review and analyze the movement storage and sharing of sensitive information.
Monitor and triage security alerts from DLP Insider Risk Management DSPM and related security platforms.
Investigate suspicious user activity and document findings according to established procedures.
Escalate security incidents and assist with containment recovery and post-incident activities.
Support Insider Risk Management investigations while maintaining confidentiality and proper chain of evidence.
Participate in third-party vendor security assessments and evaluate security documentation.
Assist with cybersecurity audits compliance reviews risk assessments and control validation.
Prepare security reports dashboards and metrics for management and stakeholders.
Collaborate with technical and business teams to improve security policies procedures and governance practices.
Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives and recommend improvements to data protection controls.
Required Skills & Experience:
3 years of experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity operations including threat monitoring incident response and risk analysis.
3 years of hands-on experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Insider Risk Management and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) for AI.
3 years of experience reviewing and triaging security alerts involving sensitive data.
Experience investigating unauthorized access data movement and security incidents.
Experience documenting security findings and escalating incidents following established procedures.
Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical teams to resolve security issues.
Strong understanding of enterprise data protection governance and cybersecurity best practices.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with AI-driven security platforms including Cortex and DSPM solutions.
Experience tuning DLP policies and Insider Risk Management alerts.
Experience supporting enterprise data governance initiatives.
Knowledge of Azure Security Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Conditional Access.
Experience with security automation and scripting.
Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot security and AI governance.
Education
Bachelors Degree in Cybersecurity Information Technology Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Required Certifications:
- CompTIA Security or
- GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft SC-100
- Microsoft SC-200
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Associate CISSP
