Secure IPC Manager- Core OS

The Core OS software team is looking for an exceptional software engineering manager to lead a team focused on secure inter-process communication (IPC) technologies for Apples operating systems. This team is responsible for the design development and evolution of next-generation secure communication mechanisms that underpin trust boundaries across Apples platforms. The teams work spans multiple confidential early-stage engineering initiatives that are foundational to the future security and integrity of iPhone iPad Mac Watch Apple TV and Vision Pro product lines. This role requires close collaboration with security kernel and platform teams to ensure these technologies are robust performant and ready to support Apples OS roadmap.

Minimum QualificationsnB.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experiencenExperience managing a systems software or infrastructure engineering teamnDirect experience with low-level systems software IPC mechanisms or security-critical infrastructurenDeep understanding of operating system fundamentals nProven track record of successful and timely delivery of complex systems softwarenStrong written and verbal communication skills able to tailor messaging for technical and non-technical audiencesn

Deep understanding of the C programming languagenKnowledge of Swift Objective-C or CnKnowledge of compiler design implementation or toolchain developmentnExperience with UNIX systems and low-level IPC primitivesnMinimum 3 years of experience managing a systems software or infrastructure engineering teamnHistory of shipping complex initiatives on schedule despite ambiguous or shifting requirementsnSkilled at running effective status reviews escalations and alignment meetings across teams
