Job Summary

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared FPGA Design & Verification Engineer in Littleton Colorado for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support ASIC and FPGA development for advanced R&D programs with a focus on digital signal processing high-speed digital design high-speed communications and system-on-chip architectures. The engineer will contribute across design simulation verification integration and test while collaborating with systems RF/analog digital circuit and ASIC/FPGA engineering teams.

Required Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with 610 years of relevant experience or masters degree with 48 years of relevant experience; equivalent combined education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience verifying digital ASICs FPGAs and/or mixed-signal ASIC/FPGA designs.
  • HDL programming experience with VHDL Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
  • Experience developing testing and integrating FPGA-based digital systems.
  • Experience with digital signal processing applications implemented on FPGA platforms.
  • Experience with high-speed digital design and high-speed communications.
  • Experience with system-on-chip architectures implemented on FPGA platforms.
  • Experience with embedded processors and COTS-based control platforms.
  • Experience with design simulation verification integration and testing of complex digital hardware.
  • Ability to collaborate across systems RF/analog digital circuit and ASIC/FPGA engineering disciplines.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience leading or managing ASIC development projects.
  • Space-system design experience.
  • Understanding of space-system and hardware requirements.
  • Experience developing automation or scripting solutions to improve FPGA development workflows.
  • Experience with high-speed networking concepts.
  • Customer-facing communication experience.
  • Strong self-directed learning and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using AI prompting to support engineering workflows.

What Youll Do

  • Develop and verify FPGA and ASIC-based digital hardware for advanced R&D programs.
  • Support implementation of DSP high-speed digital high-speed communications and system-on-chip functions.
  • Develop HDL using VHDL Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
  • Perform simulation and verification of digital and mixed-signal FPGA/ASIC designs.
  • Integrate and test FPGA-based hardware and embedded processing platforms.
  • Support development of COTS-based control architectures and embedded processors.
  • Develop automation and scripting approaches to improve FPGA engineering efficiency.
  • Collaborate with systems architects and RF analog digital and hardware engineers.
  • Support design reviews integration activities troubleshooting and test execution.
  • Contribute to high-speed networking and complex system-development efforts.

Pay

  • $113.08 per hour.
